DIETITIAN

Accredited Practising Dietitian, Sports Dietitian and Health Coach

Through nutrition we help treat stress/anxiety with a big focus on women’s health, digestive disorders, allergies, acne, eczema and psoriasis. We help heal through herbal medicines prepared on premises.

Dietitian vs Nutritionist?

In short, a dietician (dietition) is more qualified than a nutritionist.

Nutritionist

A person can practice as a nutritionist and give themselves that title, without having extensive qualifications or accreditation. The term “nutritionist” is not protected by any regulations, and as such, anyone can label themselves as a nutritionist. Many fitness professionals, for example, will take basic nutrition courses so that they can understand the basic science behind nutrition and be able to give some sort of dietary advice to their clients.

Dietician

A dietitian, on the other hand, must earn accreditation with Dietitions Australia to call themselves a dietician. A dietitian has usually earned a bachelor’s degree. In addition to having completed some level of education in their field, they are also required to have completed up to a year of supervised work, working either within a hospital system or healthcare facility.

Dietitians must take steps to continue to update their knowledge even after obtaining their degree. Things like keeping an eye on the latest scientific journals and staying abreast of the latest research are all aspects of a dietitian’s ongoing professional development.
