Dietitian or Nutritionist?
What’s the difference between a Nutritionist and a Dietician. Well, a dietician is significantly more qualified than a nutritionist.
Our accredited Dietitians have earned a bachelor’s degree at university, majoring in the subject. And then have satisfied the requirements to be accredited as a practicing dietitian with Dietitions Australia (the national governing organisation). Those requirements include having completed up to a year of supervised work, working either within the hospital system or a healthcare facility.
Dietitians are also required to keep updating their knowledge as a part of their ongoing professional development, in order to maintain their accreditation. This includes staying abreast of the latest research from via scientific journals.
Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist and set up a practice seeing clients because the term “nutritionist” isn’t protected by any laws or regulations. As an example, some fitness professionals, have taken quite rudimentary nutrition courses in order to understand the basic science behind nutrition, and then they can call themselves nutritionists and give basic dietary advice to their clients.

Anneliese combines her personal journey of living an active yet balanced lifestyle, with the latest in evidenced based nutrition, and simplifies the science to help her clients learn to improve their health in a practical way.
When not at the clinic, she loves to create new recipes in the kitchen, workout, and spend quality time with friends!

Kat is a fully Accredited Practising Dietitian, Sports Dietitian and Health Coach. She doesn’t just focus on your nutrition. She believes that your mind is also important and you can only achieve the best results when you get your mind and your body to work together towards the same goals. She does this by using health coaching principles in conjunction with individualised nutrition advice.
Kat has a positive and encouraging disposition and she’ll be your cheerleader on your healthy journey. She will give you practical, realistic and helpful guidance, in areas such as healthy eating hacks, time saving tips, and simple, delicious recipes to fit your lifestyle.
As a result of her personal and professional experience she’s learned to appreciate the importance of confidence and body acceptance. Therefore, she will help you challenge those external pressures and achieve true health and happiness.
