Dry needling is a technique that all our Chiropractors can use if they feel necessary. It involves introducing fine, sterile acupuncture needles into trigger points or big knots in the muscle.
Dry needling directly treats the neuromuscular system affecting muscle tightness and symptoms of pain and irritation.
Our Chiropractors may also utilize another technique along with your adjustments called Cupping. This technique has been used for many years and involves placing cups on the area of pain/discomfort to create suction. People will get this for a number of reasons including:
Sam graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor In Medical Science. He then went on to complete a Masters in Chiropractic from Macquarie University. He is a proud father of two and a big sports enthusiast. Sam takes interest in treating all kinds of people from kids to the elderly. He has also worked alongside some of the country’s most elite athletes. Sam is the principal Chiropractor who has established the practice and is looking forward to supporting his patients and their families over the long term.
He is committed to putting in that extra care and attention to provide the best health outcomes to the community and especially his patients.
Aside from clinical work, Sam enjoys training, running, cooking and spending quality time with his family.
George graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelors of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic. He grew up receiving regular Chiropractor care, which is where his love and appreciation of the profession began.
George has a long history playing soccer and rugby union throughout his life, feeding into his keen interest in sports, biomechanics and strength and conditioning. He is passionate about holistic patient-centered care, ensuring that his patients achieve their goals and helping them along their Chiropractic journey. He has attained his FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine, whilst also utilizing his dry needling and myofascial cupping qualifications.
If you can’t find him in the clinic, he’ll likely be cooking in the kitchen, at the gym, or visiting his family in Canberra.
Phil graduated from Macquarie University as a Chiropractor and also has years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach. He has an evidence-based approach when coming to treatment and incorporates manual therapy, movement, and education as core values in each session. In addition to chiropractic adjustments, Dr Phil likes to utilize soft tissue therapy, mobilizations, dry needling, cupping, and rehabilitation through exercise.
Phil enjoys learning about all aspects of health and wellbeing and finds himself staying up to date with the latest science by attending a variation of courses, podcasts, YouTube, and treatment specific mediums to ensure that he combines his experience with the best and tested methods for his clients.
Outside the treatment room, Phil enjoys his own strength and conditioning training, casual computer gaming, audiobooks and hanging out with his partner and two ragdolls. Mearna graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic. She loves treating all people but, has a particular interest in women’s health and pregnancy. She believes that chiropractic care can be life-changing and enjoys making people feel better through her use of manual adjusting, soft tissue work and dry needling techniques. She loves to get to know people of all ages and from all walks of life.
